ABOUT ME
There’s nothing more rewarding than caring for your own child, but let’s face it—it isn't always easy. There are always swimming lessons, birthday parties, and a consistent lack of sleep. You're always planning for the next holiday, cleaning up poop, and making sure everyone keeps all their limbs intact. It feels like there isn't enough time in a day, and it can make anyone feel like they're going crazy. Trust me, there's nothing I'd rather do at the end of a long day after putting the little one down than binge some F*ck Boy Island or play Elden Ring. But one thing’s true—there’s nothing like knowing you're taking care of your family, and getting those well-deserved cuddles.
When we found out we were pregnant with Esmée, I noticed a void of meaningful dad content. There were too many 'bro-ey' dad books, and chauvinistic blogs that touched on doing the bare minimum as a dad. I wanted to be better but I didn't know where to look. I knew that there were other lonely dad's like me - that were looking for a community to belong to, and a genuine sense of connection. Somewhere to gain insight into becoming a parent and talk about their mistakes without fear of being judged.
I created daddyoops.com so that father's-to-be, parents, and dads alike can learn from my shortcomings, and not make the same mistakes I did. Somewhere to come together and acknowledge how hard being a parent can be and the mental anguish that it can bring. Learn how to become the role model that your kids will look up to and don't forget the most important thing - to live in the moment and make precious memories with your family.
